Crisis in Pakistan, West Coast Socialism Special Event

Bushra Khaliq is a leading member of the Labor Party of Pakistan. She will discuss the political and economic crises wrecking Pakistan as well as the impact of the U.S. occupation of Afghanistan and increasing intervention in Pakistan.
While the American media portrays the only political opposition in Pakistan as based on the Taliban and other religiously-based organizations, Pakistan also boasts a vibrant labor movement and a broad struggle for women’s rights.
Come hear a first-hand account from the frontlines for social justice in Pakistan.
